The migration to the new data center is underway...

The day is finally here. We are looking forward to the growth and expansion opportunities that the new location will bring. Hopefully, downtime will no more than a couple of hours, the majority of that time taken up by the servers in transit. We'll post more about the new data center once everything is tested and back up and running. Thanks for your patience!

As the migration proceeds, I thought I'd pass along some information about the data center.

In terms of security, all facility entrances require card key access. The data center floor and secured areas require card key and two-factor biometric authentication (finger print and iris scan).

In terms of connectivity, the facility has direct fiber access to Sprint, Level 3, Time Warner Telecom, BTN, Savvis, Cogent and Telia. Conduit access to Bell South, Nuvox, AT&T and other telecom companies.

In terms of size, there is 20,000 square feet of secure raised floor collocation space.

In terms of power, there is an on-site Georgia Power substation with 10MW of N+1 power fed by two diverse substations and one electrical grid, along with eight 500 kVA generators with redundant UPS systems to provide back-up power of over 4 Megawatts of usable power.

Almost there.

Ownersite.com and myEZCarCare.com are back up and running. A few more sub-domains to go, including Home Ownersite and a few OEM sites...
